Your friendly Coffeeinista

Like so many people, I love coffee. I am a late bloomer when it comes to the black liquid gold, though. I always felt it was too bitter in my younger years and did not really get into it until my late 20s. And, I have to admit that it was a certain global mega-chain with a green siren logo to whose siren song I finally succumbed. It was a gradual process - I first enjoyed their hot chocolate and chai lattes, then switched to their mochas (coffee and cocoa) and finally to lattes and cappuccinos. I graduated from there to second and third-wave locally roasted brews, but always kept my predilection for milky espresso concoctions.

Even though, sadly, my digestive system is not particularly keen on hot, black, acidic, and caffeinated drinks, a high-quality latte or cappuccino or two has become a significant part of my quality of life every day. Wherever I go, I love to explore the local coffee scence and start the day off with a top-notch, ideally locally roates cup of joe. In this blog, I am sharing some of my experiences and completely unscientific and subjective coffee and coffee shop reviews. Enjoy!
